A proud graduate of East St. Louis High School, Class of 1964, and Rankin Technical Institute,1970.

He served honorably in the United States Army for two years before returning home to pursue his career as a skilled pipefitter with Pipefitters Local 562. As an avid car enthusiast, John was a member of the Looking Glass Corvette Club, where he shared his love for that classic car and the camaraderie. He was also a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus, always committed to service and brotherhood.
Whether he was watching a St. Louis Cardinals game, working under the hood of a car, or telling stories from his days of growing up in E.
