John Earl Turner, age 73 of Florissant, MO, formerly of Collinsville, IL, passed away on January 4, 2025 at his residence.

He was born March 26, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Earl James and Marjorie Mildred (nee Hunzeker) Turner. He was a graduate of Collinsville High School, Class of 1970. John had attained a Master's Degree in Business and Computer Science, and retired from Ameren as a computer programmer. He loved his three pet cats, traveling, and taking cruises with his daughter, Heather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Marjorie Turner; his daughter, Heather Turner; and a brother, James Turner.

Surviving are his two grandchildren: Isabella and Isaiah Fisher; a brother, Gary (Geri) Turner of Urbana, IL; an aunt, Leila Hunzeker Ulmer; two nephews: Ted (Andrea) Turner and Tim (Emily) Turner; a niece, Tessa (Jamie) Stadnik; great-nephews; and many cousins.

A private burial will be held at Keystone Cemetery in St. Jacob, IL.
