Joseph Patrick Jennings, age 57 of St. Louis, MO, peacefully passed into eternity on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born March 9, 1967. He was a graduate of SS Peter & Paul Grade School, Collinsville, IL and St. Paul High School, Highland, IL. Joe, a tractor driver since 1989, worked for Estes Express LTL, Fenton, MO. While Joe had many titles in his life, his favorite role was being a father. From supporting his sons through their various endeavors to spending precious time fishing throughout their childhood, he loved every minute of it. He was an adored grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Joe will also be remembered for his willingness to help anyone from family, friend, to honorary children and grandchildren that he treated as his own.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Jennings; his brother, Jacob Paul Jennings; his grandparents, John Howard and Margaret (nee Hahn) Brennan and Charles and Clara (nee Kessinger) Jennings.
He is survived by his mother, Jane (nee Brennan) Jennings Alves; two sons: Jacob Paul Jennings and Seth Joseph (Nicole) Jennings; four grandchildren; Landon McCarthy Jennings, Evelyn Jennings, Vivian Jennings, and Theodore Jennings; three brothers: James Phillip (Cathie) Jennings, John Peter (Debbie) Jennings, and Jeremy Paul Jennings; Joe's partner, Carla Votaw; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL 62234.
Memorial mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Michael Haag, celebrant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville.
Memorials are suggested to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
