Joseph Michael Panus, age 69 of Troy, IL born March 15, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence.

Michael was an Air Force veteran, and a Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville graduate. He loved to read and enjoyed watching sporting events on the television.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph H. and Bernice nee Lekosky Panus; and a brother, Larry Panus.

He is survived by a sister, Judith (Stuart) Savage of Edwardsville, IL.

Memorial visitation will be 10am to 11am on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will be at 11am following the visitation with Rev. Roger Wright officiating.

Private burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
