Josephine Margaret Ross, 93, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. She was born on October 2, 1932, to the late Andrew and Viola (née Kurant) Kasino and was their only child.

On October 9, 1954, Josephine married the love of her life, Robert McEwen Ross, Sr. They shared a devoted marriage until his passing on September 4, 2009.

Josephine is survived by her two children: Rob (Vicki) Ross of Collinsville and Suzy (Warren) Lucht of Red Bud; five beloved grandchildren: Bobby (Dawn) Ross, Drew Ross, Ross (Sandra Ambotaite) Wendt, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Wendt, and Anna Lucht; and five great-grandchildren: Robby, Hayden, Hudson, Banks, and Sawyer.

A long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Josephine was known for her strong faith and warm heart. She also had a great love for playing cards, often sharing laughter and good times with family and friends around the card table.

Per her wishes, no public services will be held. A private burial service, officiated by Rev. Andrew Packer, will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her husband. Friends and family are invited to an open house on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Jo's home.
