Joyce Edna Woodward, age 88 of Maryville, IL, born December 18, 1935 in Chicago, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family.

Joyce graduated from Luther Institute High School in Chicago, IL, in 1953.  She married Thomas F. Woodward on May 11, 1957 and he survives. She enjoyed bowling, collecting antiques, doing arts and crafts, playing cards, and spending time with family.  She worked for many years in the retail/sales industry, and eventually started her own Crafts/Antiques business in Florissant, MO.

In addition to her parents, Carl F. and Wilhelmina A. J. (nee Sieloff) Mormann, she was preceded in death by four siblings:  Charlotte Lunsford, Willard Mormann, Orville Mormann, and Carl Mormann.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Woodward; two sons:  William (Susan) Woodward of Virginia Beach, VA and David (Carolyn) Woodward of Troy, IL; a daughter, Sandra (David) Wallace of Troy, IL; 10 grandchildren:  Michael Woodward, Brandon Woodward, Kathryn Woodward, Kira Carper, Paul Wallace, Tara Williams, Sara Corcoran, Jonathan Woodward, Jordan Woodward and Jacob Woodward; 11 great-grandchildren: Riley Woodward, Luke Woodward, Hudson Woodward, Reagan Woodward, Kinsley Woodward, Landan Carper, Jackson Carper, Layla Williams, Joseph Williams, Brayden Corcoran and Taylor Corcoran; a brother, Melvynn Mormann of Orland Park, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
