Judy Marie Wegrzyn, age 79 of Edwardsville, IL, born February 23, 1944 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Stillwater Senior Living in Edwardsville, IL.

The daughter of the late Jerry and Isabelle (Neeham) Lehan.

Survived by her husband of 57 years, William (Weggy) Wegrzyn and children Lynda Wegrzyn Gonterman, Laura Wegrzyn Cahill (Sean) and Bill Wegrzyn, Jr, as well as her 6 grandchildren, who she spoiled rotten and loved with all her heart – Cody and Emily Gonterman, Alex Traina (Lilibet), Ryan and Grant Traina and Beaux Wegrzyn.  She is also survived by her 2 sisters – Barbara Rutledge, Kathy Jacobs as well as her favorite brother, Jerry Lehan, Jr.

She graduated from St. Theresa's Academy in East St Louis and loved her job at May Company. Judy was the life of the party and never met a stranger.  She loved to travel with (or without) her family and was the biggest St. Louis Cardinals fan.  She even got to see them win the World Series in '82, '06 and '11 but above everything she loved spending time with her family and friends.  Her wit and love of life will live on through us.

In honor of our mom, raise a glass of Pinot Grigio and your middle finger.  We would like to thank our family and friends for their continuous love and support . We would also like to thank the amazing staff at Stillwater Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for taking such great care of her.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Stillwater Senior Living Activity Department, Heartland Hospice, or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

We will celebrate Judy's amazing life in the spring during baseball season, no doubt.
