Kaitlyn Rose (Dickerson) Scaggs, age 23 of St. Ann, MO, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019.

Kaitlyn was a Granite City High School graduate.  She enjoyed roller derby, Jiu Jitsu, and playing pool. She loved animals, having collected her own zoo, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Theodore and Carol Dickerson; her maternal grandmother, Cathy Adams; maternal great grandparents, Jack and Erma Adams; an uncle, John Dickerson; and aunt, Carol Lynn Tuck.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Scaggs of St. Ann, MO, whom she married April 22, 2017; her mother, Melissa Haxton of Pontoon Beach, IL; her father, Theodore "Mike" M. Dickerson of Wood River, IL; three brothers:  Steven (Andrea) Dickerson of Roxana, IL, Chad (Elizabeth) Dickerson of Godfrey, IL and Andrew Basarich of Granite City, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kevin and Tamela Scaggs of Troy, IL; two sisters-in-law:  Felicia (Nick) Huang of Cincinnati, OH and Charissa (James) Holesko of Troy, IL; a brother-in-law, Luke (Jessica) Scaggs of Collinsville, IL. Also surviving are her uncles: Tim (Belinda) Dickerson, Jesse Dickerson, Frank (Jill) Dickerson and Thomas Dickerson; aunts: Melody (Albert) Covington, Sandi J. Dickerson, Margaret Cunningham Losch and Monica Haxton; nieces and nephews: Collin, Summer, Wessen and Brian; numerous cousins.

Visitation will be 4pm to 7pm on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 10am on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Rich Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Buck Road Cemetery, Maryville, IL.

Memorials may be made to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and will be received at the funeral home.
