Kathy Wilhelm Tibbetts, age 77, of Glen Carbon, IL, formerly of Collinsville, IL, born September 3, 1944 in Collinsville, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Kathy was a 1961 Collinsville High School graduate.  She was an accomplished pianist and vocalist. Kathy was a great woman of God.  She was a retired missionary in South Africa for eight years with her late husband, Gregory.  She loved South African animals and could easily identify them, and loved her pet Chihuahuas.  She was a collector of reborn dolls.  Her passion was her love for Jesus Christ and her hope was to bring glory to God through her living and her death.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Memorial Hospital Hospice nurses for their care and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Tibbetts; and parents, Herbert and Evelyn (nee Cox) Wilhelm.

Surviving are her three children, John Tibbetts of CA, Jordan Tibbetts of WA and Hope Lockhart of GA; her sister, Dianne Holle of Waterloo, IL; many friends including her special friend, Gary Wright of Collinsville, IL.

Upon her request, she was cremated and private services will be held.
