Kenneth Lee Dunahee, age 80 of Maryville, IL, born April 10, 1934 in Olney, IL, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Elmwood Nursing Home in Maryville, IL.

Kenneth was a retired operating engineer from Local 520. He was a Korean War Army veteran, and received the National Defense Service Medal. Kenneth enjoyed photography, computers, and liked to travel. He was a member of the Gateway Computer Club and American Legion Post #30 in Olney, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Lee Dunahee and Mae Catherine nee Grove Dunahee; a brother, Russell Dunahee; and a sister, Betty Buchanan.

He is survived by his wife, Sono "June" nee Inariyama Dunahee, whom he married on October 3, 1955 in Japan; a daughter, Emily Kay (Phil) Williams of Maryville, IL; two grandsons: Peter Thomas Williams of Hawaii and Stephen Kent Williams of Collinsville, IL; three great grandchildren: Peter Jr., Kelia and Cade Williams; a brother Donald Dunahee of Calhoun, IL, and a sister Mildred Tracy of Florida.

Upon the family's request, Kenneth is to be cremated and there will be a private burial at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
