Kenneth Mark Wilson, age 64, of Collinsville, IL, born November 26, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Friday March 27, 2020 at his residence surrounded by family.

Kenneth, who deeply valued the pursuit of knowledge, attended SIUE where he received a Master of Science and Education. He was an Energy Services Specialist for Ameren UE.

Kenneth enjoyed things both mathematical and mechanical as much as he did art, literature and all the wonders of the natural world. His love of hiking, camping, gardening, reading, and woodworking invoked a passion for these things in his children. There was always music around him. A unique and sincere person, Kenneth, welcomed all levels of tomfoolery and conversation while watching summer storms from his garage.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Veronica nee Reinhardt Wilson.

He is survived by his wife Deborah A. "Debbie" nee Jordan Wilson whom he married October 27, 1979, a son Elliott Richard Wilson of Denver CO, two daughters: Sara Ann Wilson of Collinsville, and Margaret Elaine "Maggie" (Brian Michael Jesse) Wilson of Collinsville, and a beloved grandson Rowan Conrad Jesse.

Visitation will be from 11:30am to 1pm on Wednesday April 1, 2020, with a Celebration of his life at 1PM at Barry Wilson Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Fairview Heights, IL, with Katie Jo Bielke officiating.

Memorials may be made to Friends of the Shawnee National Forest, The Cashe River Wetlands or Friends of Ferne Clyffe State Park, checks can be made to the organization and mailed to the funeral home.
