Much of his working life was spent in roles that allowed him to meet and engage with others, something he truly valued. His favorite pastime was gaming remotely with Haley which allowed him to interact daily with her from afar. He also enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, grilling, cooking delicious lasagna and his father's chili. In his younger years, David played hockey and soccer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Conley Sr. and Louise Wilson, and Edward and Ruth Tessier.
David is survived by his father, Kerry (Jackye) Wilson of Bethalto, IL; his mother, Linda (Earl) Ramsey of Cahokia Heights, IL; his daughter, Haley Nicole Wilson; Haley's mother and David's longtime partner, Amanda Hammett; Haley's brother, Kenny (Brandi) Green and five siblings: Scott (Shara) Allen of Lakeview Terrace, CA, Jeff (Kim) Depper of Rockwall, TX, JoAnna (Paul Bruns) Depper of Justin, TX, Christine (John) Gasser of Millstadt, IL., and Angelia (Jacob) Atchley of Wood River, IL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Private services will be held.
David requested his cremated remains be returned to the dessert in Las Vegas where he felt at peace.
Memorials are suggested to his daughter, Haley Wilson, and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
