Laurie A. Blaylock, age 53 of Highland, IL, formerly of Maryville, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born November 4, 1969 in Belleville, IL, to the late Larry and Katherine (nee Hutson) Kolling.

Laurie was a 1987 Collinsville High School graduate. She worked as a client service representative for Buckingham Asset Management.  She enjoyed gardening and ranching their horses, goats, and chickens.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, John M. Blaylock, whom she married August 1, 1987; two sons:  Payton (Emily) Blaylock of Highland, IL and Jared (fiancé Kaylee Templeman) Blaylock of Highland, IL; a daughter, Allysa (Jason) Campbell of Edwardsville, IL; four grandchildren:  Elizabeth Blaylock, Abigail Blaylock, Noah Campbell and Olivia Campbell; an uncle, Neil (Linda) Kolling of Maryville, IL; an aunt, Jean Eaker of NC; and many friends.

Visitation will be 3 – 6 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville.

Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating.
