Lawrence "Larry" Michael Grega, age 81, of Edwardsville, IL, born July 1, 1938 in Livingston, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his residence.

Larry was an Army Veteran and a retired quality civil engineer. He loved to hunt arrowheads, walk the beaches searching for sharks' teeth, and visited every state except Hawaii. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed times spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary ( nee Morak) Grega; his wife, Peggy L. ( nee Cossel) Grega whom he married on June 11, 1960; and a brother, Richard Grega.

He is survived by a daughter, Debra (Thomas) Denton of Walkersville, MD; a son, Michael Grega of Bridgeton, MO; four grandchildren: Kimberly (Scott) Hoffman, Justin (Rachael) Denton, Samantha (Timmy) Brobein, and Jessica Grega; and one great grandson, Takota "TJ."

Memorial visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m, officiated by Rev. Robert J. Jallas. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston, IL.
