Loretta R. Wood-Caraway, age 72 of Collinsville, IL, born June 26, 1947 in Albion, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Loretta was a 1965 Clifton Central High School graduate.  She had worked as an assembly worker for a bakery.  She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her girlfriends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis B. and Mary Etta nee Bullock Wood; and a brother, Willis F. Wood.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Jim) Cote of Ft. Myers, FL; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Cote; a brother, Max Wood of Troy, IL; two sisters:  Rose (Michael) Richardson of Collinsville, IL and Connie (Larry) Guard of Ft. Myers, FL; and a sister-in-law, Flora Wood of Clifton, IL.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, IL.

Memorials in Loretta's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or the MetroEast Humane Society and can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
