Lynn Lohnes nee Kook, 81 of Maryville, IL born February 10, 1930 in Des Moines, IApassed away WednesdayAugust 31, 2011 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Peoria Manual High School. She received awards for Avon and Mary Kay. Her hobbies included oil painting, sewing,knitting and crocheting. She played her home organ,was a fabulous cook, achurch choir directorand alibrarian at several libraries.Lynn really enjoyedfishing in northernMinnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents John G. and Lois M. nee McKibben Kook, a brother John Karl Kook, and a sister Griselda Jean Schubert.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Paul D.Lohnes whom she married August 20, 1950; two sons David J. (Deanna) Lohnes of Hoopston, IL, Mark S. (Sheri) Lohnes of Hinesville, GA; two daughters Kay E. (Jim) Howell of Edwardsville, IL,Kristine A. Clarkson of Marine, IL; a sister Margaret Laura Early of Port Orchard, WA; brother-in-law David G. (Audrey) Lohnesof Peoria; IL, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday September 3, 2011 from 11am until 12 noon at Living Waters Lutheran Church 7229 North Knoxville Avenue Peoria, IL.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Saturday at thechurchwith the Rev. Mark Schoenhals officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Bartonville, IL.
