Madeline M. Weil, age 96 of Glen Carbon, IL, born April 3, 1923 in Higbee, MO, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Madeline was a retired clerk for the former Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Collinsville.  At one time she was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, IL.  She helped with Meals on Wheels, enjoyed bowling, gardening and especially cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignazio and Maria (nee Banche) Ceresero; husband, Alfred Weil, whom she married June 27, 1947; three sisters:  Lena Ceresero, Rose Cooper and Louise Piel; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Weil.

She is survived by two sons:  Larry (Jacalyn) Weil of Edwardsville, IL and Kenneth Weil of Edwardsville, IL; a daughter, Debra (Timothy) Rohlman of Chesterfield, MO; three grandchildren:  Matthew and Jeffrey Rohlman and Molly (Steven) Catalano; two great grandchildren:  Lucas and Hailey Catalano; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation with Rev. Marvin Morgan officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at the funeral home.
