Marcella L. Lindsay age of 84 of Troy, IL, born February 8, 1941 in Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Cedarhurst of Granite City, IL.

Marcella was heavily involved with the Illinois 4-H University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of two quilting organizations, an avid golfer, active with the Tri-Township Library in Troy, IL and loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Benard Lindsay whom she married on October 27, 1962; her parents Raymond and Thelma (nee Rhodes) Hendricks; two sisters: Dee Brown and Patsy Paul.

She is survived by her two daughters: Jean Ruiz of Ballwin, MO and Marsha Lindsay of Troy, IL; four grandchildren: Lindsay (Chad) Lindow of Troy, IL, Cory (Paige) Guetterman of Troy, IL, Leya Ruiz of Collinsville, IL and Marvel Larson of St. Louis, MO; five great-grandchildren: Ashleigh, Addison, Aaron, Austin and Millie; one brother: Jim Hendricks and one sister: Linda Hendricks.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at Barry Wilson Funeral Home 2800 North Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
