Margaret Ann Hoelscher, 91, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. She was born on August 18, 1934, in Desloge, MO, to the late Fred and Eula (née Pettus) Rentfro.

Margaret married Alvin Eugene Huff on March 31, 1951. He preceded her in death in February 1983.

Margie was fortunate to find love again and married Norman Earl Hoelscher on November 25, 1989. He preceded her in death in February of 2024.

Margaret was the former owner and operator of The Cutting Edge Beauty Salon in Collinsville. She was a longtime and devoted member of First United Methodist Church in Collinsville – here is where she especially enjoyed making Advent calendars each Wednesday and Spirit of Sharing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Rentfro in February of 2025; and a cherished grandchild, Shaun Jason Huff.

She is survived by her seven children: C.W. (Kathy) Huff of Oakland, TN; David (Michelle) Huff of Collinsville, IL; Shari Price of Collinsville, IL; Debbie (Terry) Krewinghaus of Venedy, IL; Steve (Kathy) Hoelscher of Collinsville, IL; Kathie Wagner of Smithton, IL; and Dan (Karen) Hoelscher of Edwardsville, IL.

She is also survived by her cherished 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
