Margaret P. "Pat" Kerwin, age 90 of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

Pat was born in Collinsville on March 15, 1932 to the late George and Liberty (nee Albertina) Giovando. She graduated Collinsville High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, William L. Kerwin, on June 14, 1952.  Together they had a family of four children, William, Diana, Donna and Mary. Pat was a homemaker and everyone thought she was the best neighborhood mom.  She loved reading and enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; a brother, Jerry Giovando; mother and father-in-law, Danial and Frances ( nee Baudino) Kerwin; brother-in-law, Richard Kerwin; and nephew, Paul Kerwin.

Surviving are her four children:  Diana (David) Lesny, William (Kay) Kerwin, Donna (Chris) Burton and Mary (William) Stogner; eight grandchildren:  Robert (Gracey) Alexander, Amber (Sarah) Stogner, Nikolas (Amanda) Alexander, Nathan Stogner, Drew Stogner, Stephanie Burton, Christopher Burton and William J. Kerwin; four great-grandchildren:  Neo (Nancy) Alexander, Kadin Alexander, Addyson Alexander and Isabella Burton; and a nephew, Daniel Kerwin.

Visitation will be 3 - 6 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. with Rev. Ronny Carroll officiating.  Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
