Marie Z. Walling, age 79 of Collinsville, IL, born November 13, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her residence.

Marie was a 1961 Collinsville High School graduate. She was a homemaker, always putting her family first. She never met a stranger, loved her pets, and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church Maryville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Theresa (nee Zampogna) Zavaglia; four brothers: Angelo, Bob, Jack and Johnnie; and a sister, Vincie Erutti.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, James Walling, whom she married November 21, 1964; her beloved daughter, Angela Walling of Pontoon Beach, IL; a brother, Greg (Lorelei) Zavaglia of St. Lous, MO; a sister, Shirley Bostian of Indianapolis, IN; numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held.
