Marlene Christina Schildroth, age 77 of Maryville, IL, born July 31, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

She was a 1963 graduate of St. John the Baptist High School in St. Louis, MO.  She married the love of her life, Gerald Schildroth on November 6, 1965 and together they raised their family of three daughters, Christina, Tracey and Sherri.

Marlene was a homemaker.  She loved being a mother and grandmother and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed taking boat rides and spending time at Table Rock Lake, long car rides, going to the Fox and Muny, and quilting.  She was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gladys (nee Vendt) Buback; a brother, Leroy Buback; and a daughter, Christina Schildroth.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald Schildroth of Maryville; two beloved daughters, Tracey (Rick) Schmidt of Maryville and Sherri (Thomas) Blaha of Maryville; seven grandchildren:  Danielle Hoernschemeyer, Nathan Hoernschemeyer, Madison Schmidt, Nicholas Schmidt, Jacob Blaha, Samuel Blaha, and Zachary Blaha; four great-grandchildren:  Faith, Makenna, Christian and Lucas.
