Martin Leo Buehrer, age 92 of Collinsville, IL, born October 24, 1928 in Granite City, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his residence.

Martin was a retired operating engineer for the Local #520 in Mitchell, IL.  He was an Army veteran having served his country in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin J. and Anne (nee Klug) Buehrer; a sister, Delores Dortch; and two brothers-in-law, Bob David and Bob Copeland.

He is survived by a daughter, Laurie Nichols of Collinsville, IL; two sons, Daniel (Laura) Buehrer of Lakeville, MN and David (Renee) Buehrer of Ballwin, MO; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, David Gene (Patty) Buehrer of Granite City, IL; two sisters, Emily David of Granite City, IL and Shirley Copeland of Livingston, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.

Memorials may be made in Martin's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
