Martin J. North

Martin J. North, age 37, of Granite City, IL, born October 3, 1988 in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Granite City, IL.

Martin worked as a laborer in the manufacturing industry. He enjoyed skateboarding, watching UFC, and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Andrea Angel Bailey; his grandmother, Terri Frakes; his great grandmother, Wanda Apostol; and a great aunt, Mary Apostol.

He is survived by a son, Liam North; a brother, Matthew North of Granite City, IL; a sister, Tara North, of Glen Carbon, IL; two uncles: Ian (Tina) Johnston of Granite City, and Michael (Jessica) Wilson of Collinsville, IL; nephews Oliver North, Julius North, and Loki Wallen; a niece, Mary-Jane Wallen; and a family friend, Elizabeth Romero of Granite City.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
