Marvin Edward Theel, Sr. age 81 of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his residence.  He was a Korean Army War Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Emil and Louisia Mary (nee Kluck) Theel; wife, Edith May (nee Heuser) Theel; four sisters:  Roberta Theel, Mary Ann Sphar, Carol Smith and Edna Anderson; two brothers:  Allan Theel and Harvard Theel.

He is survived by his three children: Maureen Edith (Eric) Ibendahl of Okawville, IL, Marvin Edward (Krissy) Theel Jr. of Fults, IL, George Robert Madigan of Collinsville, IL; a brother, Robert Theel of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters:  Maybell Theel of Elsa, WA and Charyl Marlow of Lacey, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.

Memorials may be made to the World Bird Sanctuary or Lone Elk Park and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
