Mary Theresa Carich, age 83 of Collinsville, IL, born March 26, 1941 in Arnold, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

Mary was a retired consumer product specialist for Van de Kamp.  She enjoyed taking her convertible up the great river road, boating, water skiing, roller skating, reading cookbooks, and gardening.  She was of the Catholic faith, loved life, an animal lover, and was a very compassionate and a loyal friend.  She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Cave and Bernice (nee Shimkus) Hayes; her husband, Steve Carich.

Surviving are a cousin, Michael "Mickey" (Gail) Petersen of Litchfield, IL; lifelong friends, Marlene Stark and her late husband, Velman Stark, Sr., of Glen Carbon, IL and their daughter, Renee Howard and her husband and daughter, Mike and Cydnee; and many close friends.

Mary will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.
