Mary Ann Koehler, age 80 of Troy, IL, born December 29, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling but most of all spending time with family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Clem" and Dora "Johnny" (nee Schaefer) Koehler; two brothers: Kenneth and Thomas Koehler; a sister, Diana Johnson; brother-in-law, Terry Dunn; two sisters-in-law: Sandy Koehler and Carol Koehler; daughter-in-law, Pam Cotner; three grandchildren: Christina Carnahan, Jonathan Mowery and Cody Harris; and a great-grandchild, Cori Carnahan.
She is survived by the love of her life, Jimmie Cotner, Sr. of Troy, IL; four children: Jimmie Cotner, Jr., Judith (Michael) Carnahan of Troy, IL, Tammie (Ron) Hindman of Mexico, MO and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Eastland of Waterloo, IA; five grandchildren: Ashley Rhoads of Mexico, MO, Kyle (Brittany Fowler) Carnahan of Delevan, IL, Barbara (Jordan) Garcia of Glen Carbon, IL, Allyxandra Eastland of Waterloo, IA and Zackrey (Peyton Green) Eastland of Waterloo, IA; three great-grandchildren: Jonathan Harris, Henry Carnahan and Hunter Garcia; a sister, Phyllis Dunn of Austell, GA; brother, Roger (Margie) Koehler of Buchanan, TN; sister-in-law, Shirley Koehler of Jackson, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m. at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
