Born on June 25, 1930, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Jane was the daughter of the late Edward and Adele Pellin (née Baechle). A proud graduate of Collinsville High School, Class of 1948, she went on to earn her degree from Hickey College. After graduating, Jane worked as a personal assistant to Alfred Fleishman during the early years of Fleishman Hillard Inc., a role she took on with great pride and dedication

Jane was a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished hostess, a proficient golfer, an enthused painter and seamstress, and a competitive card player particularly when it came to bridge, which she played with passion and precision. Jane was also a proud member of the Air Force Officers' Wives' Club and served on numerous committees over the years.

Above all, Jane was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Don, her son Michael Ungerott, her parents, and her brother Robert Pellin.

Jane is survived by her daughter Kathleen Fricke (Ron) of Richmond, VA, and their children Megan (Scott) Carter, Rachel Fricke-Hagen, and Kyle (Brooke) Fricke; her son Jeffrey Ungerott (Roxanne) of Napa, CA, and his children Zachary (Lauren) Ungerott and Sydney (Kenya) Dennis. Jane was additionally blessed with nine great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

A private burial will take place at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Don.
