Matthew T. Pope, age 41 of Collinsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born September 25, 1983 in St. Louis, MO to Wayne Pope and Vickie Greer. He graduated Collinsville High School, Class of 2002, and worked for the Laborers' Union Local 44 as a concrete superintendent. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, but most of all spending time with his family.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Keri Jo (nee Lemons) Pope, whom he married October 15, 2010; two daughters, Emma and Holli; his two canine companions, Marley "Moo" and Piper; parents, Wayne Pope and Vickie Greer; three sisters: Angela (Jason) Howard, Bonnie (Adam) Williams, and Heather Sloan; a brother, Gerald (Ashley) Dipalma; his mother and father-in-law, Larry and Rebecca Lemons; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the VFW Post 5691 in Collinsville from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
