Michael A. Borowy, age 75 of Collinsville, IL, born February 21, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at his residence.

Michael was a retired brewer from Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis. He loved to golf, BBQ, fish and was a huge fan of the St Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed meeting friends at Lyle's Tavern to share stories and have a good laugh. You could not help but like Mike from the first time you met him. "Uncle Mike" was loved by all and will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred (nee Craven) Borowy, a brother, John Borowy JR, and a nephew John Borowy (JB).

Surviving are his sister-in-law, Diane Borowy of Marine, IL; niece, Kris (Thad) Graham of Larkspur, CO; two great-nephews: John Lankford and Brenden Lankford; lots of cousins and friends.

Michael's wishes were to be cremated and a private burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lyle's Tavern in Maryville, IL on May 4th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Casual dress, shorts and T-shirts are requested.

Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Hospital and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
