Michael R. Siegel, age 63 of Maryville, IL, born October 5, 1957 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Mike was a 1975 Collinsville High School graduate. He has worked at Clean Uniform Company for 40 years as a Medical Sales Rep. He was a member and usher of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, enjoyed working out at Leisure World in Collinsville, watching Western movies, sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and the stock market. He loved going on family vacations and cherished those memories. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mary Catherine (nee Spalding) Siegel; and two brothers, David and John Siegel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky (nee George) Siegel, whom he married October 22, 1977; three children: Tony (Ruthy) Siegel of Edwardsville, Tasha (Eric) Wolters of Edwardsville and Matt Siegel of Edwardsville; seven grandchildren: Luca, Alex, Tristan, Jake, Tyler, Brooke, and Kate; two brothers: Tom Siegel of Collinsville and Dan Siegel of Belleville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL. Masks are required to be worn.
Funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville with Father Rob Johnson, Celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorials may be made in Mike's honor to Washington University School of Medicine (Edward P. Evans Centers for Myelodysplastic Syndromes) and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
