Millie J. Belobraydic, age 89 of Maryville, IL, born August 29, 1930 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Millie graduated from St. Theresa Academy in 1948.  She worked as a secretary for SS Peter & Paul Catholic School in Collinsville for over 23 years before retiring.  She was a devoted member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL having been in charge of the church bulletin for 20 years.

Millie was very active in her community.  Her involvement with Anderson Hospital began in 1967, a decade before the hospital opened.  She was part of the visionary group dedicated to building a hospital to serve Maryville, Troy, Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, Collinsville and surround communities.  The group played an essential role in the establishment of the hospital.  Millie was there when they broke ground in 1974, started the Ladies Auxiliary, and was the Volunteer who wheeled the very first patient on opening day, January 5, 1977.  Since then, Millie had been a constant presence at Anderson, serving on the Board of Trustees and the Auxiliary in which she served as President for two terms.  In 2000, she was awarded the coveted Founders Award which recognized her as an instrumental figure in the development and ongoing success of Anderson Hospital.  For years she volunteered alongside the Materials Management staff and most recently volunteered at the Information Desks of the Hospital and Cancer Center.

Her lists of awards also include the Kimmel Community Service Award presented by SIUE in 2000; President's Council on Service and Civic Participation Presented by PSOP in 2008; Women of Distinction Award presented by Springfield Council of Catholic Women in 2013;and Fred Winters Community Service Award presented at the Mayor's Prayer Dinner in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Belobraydic; her parents, Paul and Adeline nee Boski Lubeck; a brother, Phillip Lubeck; a sister, Beverly Munie; and son-in-law, Larry Hall.

She is survived by her six children, Addie Hall, Sharon (John) Sullivan, Louis (Sandy) Belobraydic Jr., William (Jacque) Belobraydic, John (Johanna) Belobraydic and Robert (Denise) Belobraydic; 17 grandchildren, Kenneth (Jennifer) Hall, William Hall, John (Kara) Sullivan, Jenni (Michael) Chafin, Matthew (Rochelle) Belobraydic, Lynn (Zack) Brookhaus, William (Abby) Belobraydic, Jack Belobraydic, Jocelyn (David) McPherson, Jordan Belobraydic, Scott Ogley, Ellie Ogley, Katie Belobraydic, Brandon Belobraydic, Kiley Belobraydic, Annaka Belobraydic and Ceira Joliff; 13 great-grandchildren, Morgan (Ariel) Perez, Mason Hall, Cloe Chafin, Colin Chafin, Joey Chafin, Sloane Sullivan, Paige Sullivan, Wyatt Belobraydic, Drake Allison, Davis Allison, Scarlet Brookhaus, Jaxon McPherson and Jameson Meyer; two brothers, Paul "Buddy" (Linda) Lubeck and Rickey Lubeck; two sisters, Paula Mullins and Susan (Don) Morrison; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL with Father Rob Johnson, Father Brian Alford, Father Jeff Holtman and Father David Kahlert OMI Concelebrants. MASKS ARE REQUIRED . Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Millie's honor to Mother of Perpetual Help as a donation to the church or a mass intention, or to the Anderson Hospital Foundation.  They will be received at the funeral home.
