Morris D. Lake, age 81 of Collinsville, IL born March 27, 1934 in DePew, NY passed away at 11:45 am on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.

Morris retired after 38 years of service at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris T. and Emma L. nee Donor Kleisley; and a daughter Tammy L. Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon J. nee Savage Lake, whom he married on February 26, 1955; a son, Michael Lake of Collinsville, IL; a daughter, Cindy (Mark) Gillis of Collinsville, IL; three grandchildren: Jackie Johnson, Kimber Lake, and Michelle Lake; a step-mother, Josephine Lake of NJ; a half-brother, Gary Lake of NJ; two half-sisters: Teresa Burns and Kathy (Mike) Czarnecki both of NJ; and a cousin, Theda Schlosser of Maryville, IL.

Memorial visitation will be 12noon to 2pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. John United Church of Christ, 307 West Clay Street, Collinsville, IL.

Memorial service will be at 2pm following the visitation with Rev. Tony Minear and Katie Jo Bielke officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
