Naida Frances Perkins, age 93 of Glen Carbon, IL, born May 9, 1928 in Willow Springs, MO, passed away on January 31, 2022 at her residence with family by her side.

Naida had worked as a beautician, dog groomer, and manager at Goodwill Industries.  She was a talented quilter and seamstress, enjoyed fishing, hunting and used to love to hunt arrowheads.  She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Collinsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen ( nee Baldridge ) Ruby; husband, Bobby Perkins; a son, Ronald Perkins; and two brothers:  George and Charles Ruby.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann (Paul Bollinger) Jacobs of Glen Carbon, IL; daughter-in-law, Elaine Perkins of Des Moines, IA; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 1 on the way; and a sister, Meda (Peter) Kreps of Rochester, MN.

Visitation will be 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 12 noon officiated by Rev. Sherman Smith.  Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.

Memorials may be made in Naida's honor to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
