Nancy Margaret Dobbs, 87, of Maryville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Liberty Village in Maryville.
Nancy was born on July 20, 1939, in Waterloo, IL, to the late John and Edna (nee Bueschel) Janning. She married Samuel P. Dobbs on September 1, 1956. He preceded her in death.
Nancy worked as a retail manager for Kmart for many years. After she retired, she loved family get togethers (Christmas in July was her favorite) and visits with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ron Rauh and six siblings, David, JoAnn, Mary, Jack, Gary, and Alan.
She is survived by her five daughters, Jodi Rauh of Collinsville, IL; Lori (Eddie) Mann of Lyles, TN; Kari (Jeff) Johann of Collinsville, IL; Tami (Craig) Griffing of Collinsville, IL; and Mari (Darryl) Roberson of Fairfield, TX.
Nancy is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Janna (Keith) Silkwood, Kristin (Mike) Meyer, Amie (Brandon Bracken) Mann, Jeremy (Kayla) Mann, Joshua Johann, Emily Johann, Adam (Nicole) Griffing, Andrew (Megan) Griffing, Aaron (Alissa) Griffing, Teresa Roberson, Jamie (Mike) Keinholz, and Robin (Dustin) Peirson; and 15 great-grandchildren, Violet, Ben, Zachery, Hannah, Miles, Elliott, Taylor, Paige, Jameson, Max, Lola, Henry, Kaitlyn, Charlee, and Walker.
She is also survived by her sister, Jane Owens of Carlyle, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dale Skeesick officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Youth Group and SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be received at the visitation or mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
