Nancy Ann Jones, age 81 of Red Bud, IL, born August 31, 1940 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Aspen Creek of Troy.

Nancy was a retired nurse assistant.  She enjoyed to garden, knit, crochet, and loved pets, her family, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary ( nee Parker ) Elliott; husband, Cedric Jones; two sons, Jerry and Steve Jones; and brother, Phillip Elliott.

She is survived by her two children:  Christopher (Lynda) Jones and Kellie (Scott) Shields; six grandchildren:  Dawn Colley, Nicholas Jones, Madison Shields, Isaac Shields, Stacy Snead and Jamie Requarth; seven great-grandchildren:  Mackenzie, Hannah, Grace, Wyatt, Hunter, Max and Ella; and two sisters:  Mary Elliott and Jackie Donahue.

Visitation will be 4 - 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Chamberlain officiating.  Due to current state restrictions, masks are requested to be worn.

Private burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Metro East Humane Society and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
