Nettie Olean Seaton, 86, of Jerseyville, IL, formerly of Maryville, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Jersey Community Hospital.

Born on October 16, 1938, Nettie was the daughter of the late Sammie and Gladys (née Flowers) Piper. On September 9, 1981, she married the love of her life, Norman Seaton, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2016.

Nettie spent her career working in the sales division of a pharmacy, where her kindness and attentiveness left a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She had a passion for collecting and polishing rocks, turning nature's raw gifts into polished keepsakes. A gifted seamstress, she spent countless hours sewing.

Nettie will be remembered most for her generous spirit and kind heart. She gave freely of her time and love, always thinking of others.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Piper, and sister, Betty Swallers.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tina Williams; grandson, Phillip Williams; a brother, William (Carol) Piper of Godfrey, IL, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Buck Road Cemetery in Maryville, IL officiated by Rev. Roger Wright.
