Nikki Hoskin, a cherished resident of Collinsville, IL, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 on February 26, 2025, at Anderson Hospital.
Born on May 1, 1972, Nikki was a warm and familiar presence in her community, known for her friendly demeanor and dedication to her work. For 20+ years, she served as an office checker at the former Shop N Save, where she built long lasting relationships with countless of customers and more recently, she continued to share her positive spirit with people at Pete's Grocery store in Troy, IL. where she was a cashier that would make her customers feel loved and appreciated.
Above all else, Nikki's heart belonged to her family. She found her greatest joy in the simple moments spent at home with her three beloved children: Elian Rojas, Iyana Alpizar-Rojas and Javier Rojas. Their happiness was her priority, and her love for them was boundless.
Nikki's memory will be forever treasured by her surviving family: her sisters, Mala (Jamie) Clark of Troy, IL, and Aysha Burns of Collinsville, IL; her brother, Virgil Jr. (Brenda) Hoskin of O'Fallon, IL; Her special nieces, Brandi Withrow and Adilynn Hurtado, who were like daughters to her, and a multitude of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Virgil Hoskin Sr. and Denise Clark, (nee Rudis); her maternal grandparents, Roland and Louise (nee Smith) Rudis; and her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Edna (nee White) Hoskin.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Nikki's life during a memorial visitation on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, located at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the same location, providing an opportunity to share memories and offer support to her grieving family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to assist Nikki's three children. Contributions can be made in care of Mala Clark at the visitation or mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home.
