Obituary

Nolan J. Von Feldt, 83, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.

He was born on June 22, 1943, in Austin, MN, to the late Albert and Dolores (nee Meyerhofer) Von Feldt. On June 22, 1968, he married the love of his life, Era "Kathy" Paul. They shared 54 years of marriage before her passing in 2023.

Nolan was the owner and operator of Boxtech in St. Louis, MO. He was a faithful member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, where he generously volunteered his time in numerous parish activities.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Nolan's greatest joy was his family. He spent countless hours coaching his children's sports teams and never missed one of their games, or special events.

An exceptionally hardworking man, Nolan also enjoyed spending time on the golf course. He especially cherished the annual golf trips he shared with his brothers and friends.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Nolan was preceded in death by an infant son, Greg; and a brother, Chuck A. Von Feldt.

He is survived by his loving children, Ryan (Holly) Von Feldt of Cottleville, MO, Mary Jill (Tom) Witte of Collinsville, IL, and Julie (Paul) Scheller of Maryville, IL; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Greg, Ellie, Drew, Jenna, Tyler, and Lucas; four siblings, Dianne (John) Mandernach of Shoreview, MN, Tom (Bette) Von Feldt of Madison, WI, Vern (Denise) Von Feldt of Blairsville, GA, and Jim (Andrea) Von Feldt of Peoria, IL; sister-in-law, Judy Von Feldt of White Bear Lake, MN; along with numerous nieces, nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia Street, Collinsville, IL, with Father Michael Haag serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville.

Memorials are suggested in the form of Masses to Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church or donations to Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School. Memorial contributions will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
