Norma Lee Viola Anderson, age 90 of Collinsville, IL, born August 6, 1930 in Wood River, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.

Norma was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, planting flowers in her yard, but most of all loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Anderson, whom she married July 11, 1950; her parents, William C. and Nora nee Eberhart Kruckeberg; a grandson, Jacob Viviano; a sister, Myrna Strohmeier; and sister-in-law, Lois Kruckeberg.

She is survived by her three children, Douglas (Becky) Anderson of Edwardsville, IL, Robert Anderson of Caseyville, IL and Rosanna (Robert) Rickett of Collinsville, IL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Viviano, Jill Anderson-Altenberger, Robert (Erin) Anderson and Elliott Anderson; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Kruckeberg of Edwardsville, IL; a sister, Bernice Gerstenecker of Glen Carbon, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.  Due to the current COVID restrictions, social distancing guidelines will be observed and face masks are required.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the funeral home with Rev. Mary Ann Lawrence, Chaplain of Vitas Hospice, officiating.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.

Memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
