Paul L. Kraegenbrink, age 76, of Troy, IL, born on August 27, 1947, in Glen Carbon, IL, passed away at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL, on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

He was a Collinsville High School graduate of 1965. Paul worked in hospitality as a front desk clerk for many hotels in the area. He enjoyed model railroads and was a member of Mudhens and Narrow Gage Railway Society. Paul loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Paul was preceded by his parents: Emil L. and Evelyn G. (nee Gerling); and aunt, Bertha Gerling.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (nee Reimler) Kraegenbrink, whom he married November 27, 1971, of Troy, IL; son, Kurt Kraegenbrink of Collinsville, IL; daughter, Amy (Danny) Shea of Collinsville, IL; four granddaughters: Destiny Shea, Keira Shea, Aaliyah Shea, and Lexi Shea; sister, Grace McPherson; niece, Colleen McPherson; nephew, Brian (Tracy) McPherson; and great-nephew, Matteo Montemayor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL.  Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dale Skeesick officiating.
