Paul Glenn Wood, age 56 of Collinsville, IL, born November 3, 1966 in E. St. Louis, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Paul was a 1984 Collinsville High School graduate.  He held several positions over a 30-year career at Fairmount Park Racetrack, the longest of which was working as a security guard.  He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, had a great love of cars and music, was an avid Hot Wheel collector, and enjoyed building models.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Betty (nee Schuck) Wood.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah (nee Anderson) Wood, whom he married November 10, 2012; three children:  Ava Wood of Collinsville, Joshua Wallace of Collinsville, Carrie (Joshua) Bailey of Collinsville; and three grandchildren:  Tyson, Sebastian and Jackson.

Memorial visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating.

Memorials are suggested for his daughter, Ava's, education fund and will be received at the funeral home.
