Peggy Jo Holdener, age 86 of Maryville, IL formerly of Caseyville, Il, born January 24, 1938, in Obion County, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was a former member of the Caseyville Junior Women's Club and an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan. Peggy was a great cook and gardener. She took great pride in taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Pearl (nee Lynch) Davidson; a son, Thomas Joseph Holdener; two brothers: Floyd and James Davidson; and a sister, Juanita Holcomb.

Surviving are her husband, Clement J. Holdener, whom she married June 6, 1959; four children: Mark (Valerie) Holdener, Susan (Michael) McMahon, Cynthia (Glenn) Taylor, and Denise (Jason) Farnworth; daughter-in-law, Cheree Holdener; nine grandchildren: Whitney (Jordan Leynes) Holdener, Kendra (Alex) Woodward, Michael McMahon, Ryan McMahon, Alexander Farnworth, Logan Farnworth, Noah Farnworth, Valerie Moore, and Joshua Holdener; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Alice) Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Father Rob Johnson officiating. The burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
