Philip Roundy Russell, Jr., age 51, of Glen Carbon, born December 3, 1971, in Beverly, MA, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his home.

Phil proudly served in the Army and National Guard for 21 years, with three enlistments. He earned many rewards and medals during his time serving our country. Phil also earned his associate degree in law enforcement. He later went on to be a TSA official at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Phil loved tinkering with computers, playing video games, and watching TV and movies, with Star Wars being his favorite. Above all, spending time with his kids was his favorite thing to do.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cheryl (nee Jacobs) Russell, whom he married on August 7, 1999; and his grandparents.

Surviving are his daughter, Dakota Russell of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Hunter Russell of Glen Carbon, IL; parents, Philip and Nancy (nee Dery) Russell of Hampton, NH; two brothers, Brian (Donna) Russell of Penacook, NH and James (Carrie) Russell of Dover, NH; and his service dog, Trigger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at First Baptist Maryville.

The burial with military honors will be at High Street Cemetery in Hampton, NH, at a later date.
