Phillip Paul Armstrong, age 39 of Collinsville, IL, born May 10, 1984 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.

He worked as a steelworker and enjoyed music, reading History books, watching NFL football, and followed current events and politics.  He loved Mustangs and talking to his daughter, Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (nee Fischer) Armstrong; two uncles:  Patrick Armstrong, who was his father's twin, and Stephen Fischer; maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Fischer; and paternal grandparents, Floyd "Babe" and Frances Armstrong.

Surviving are his daughter, Chloe Armstrong and mother, Andrea Mitchell of O'Fallon, IL; father, Paul Armstrong of Collinsville, IL and biological father, Robert Newbern of Cape Girardeau, MO; twin brother, Patrick (Katie) Armstrong of Glen Carbon, IL; three sisters:  Melissa (Jeremy Borell) Armstrong of Lakewood, OH, Stephanie (Brandon) Dahl of Olivette, MO and Cynthia (Daniel) Torrence of Holly Ridge, NC; nieces and nephews.

Private services were held.
