Phillip StanleyMatthews age 63 of Edwardsville, IL born November 25, 1947 in St. Louis MOpassed away on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Mr. Matthews was a disabled Vietnam War Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Matthews.

He is survived by two uncles Eddie and Leonard Matthews, cousins Azelia Matthews, Sha-net Davis, Travion Montgomery, Martinez Matthews, Ray Matthews, and many friends.

Memorial service will be 11am Wednesday August 17, 2011 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home 2800 North Center Street Maryville, IL 62062.

Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with full military honors.
