Raymond E. Hasty, Sr., age 87, of Troy, IL, born January 20, 1937 in Flat River, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Raymond was a past police officer and a former Chief of Police in Maryville.  After retirement, he worked for the Triad Community Unit #2 School District as a school bus driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Dorothy (nee Morris) Hasty; and a son, Raymond E. Hasty, Jr.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Gieseking) Hasty; two sons:  John (Deona) Hasty of Troy, IL and Dave (Dorothy) Hasty of 29 Palms, CA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon (Todd) Willeat of Chesterfield, MO; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Hasty of Troy, IL.

Memorial visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Memorial service will follow at 1p.m. with Rev. Jason Wyman officiating.
