Regina Faye Luessenheide, age 79 of Maryville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

She was born on September 7, 1943 in Eldorado, IL to the late Kenneth K. and Opal (nee Cunningham) Caraway.  She graduated from Nashville High School in Nashville, IL in 1961. Regina married Dennis Luessenheide on February 9, 1963 and he preceded her in death in July of 2022.

Regina had worked as a billing clerk until retiring.  She was a member of United Methodist Women, Priscilla Circle, Dorcas Circle, and the Collinsville High School Band Parents.  Her greatest joy was being Mimi to Payton and Piper.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Bills.

Surviving are her three beloved children:  Dean (Jessica) Luessenheide of Maryville, IL, Janet Luessenheide of Kansas City, MO and Kelly Luessenheide of Maryville, IL; two granddaughters:  Payton and Piper Luessenheide; and two brothers: Ken (Kathy) Caraway of Atwood, IL and Kirk Caraway of IN.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Collinsville First United Methodist Church, 207 W. Church Street, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Karen Oplt officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
