Rhonda Lou Burton, age 68 of Collinsville, IL, born December 7, 1950 in Muncie, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Rhonda was a 1969 Muncie Southside High School graduate.  She worked at the Collinsville Farmer's Market.  Flowers were her specialty.  She loved to garden and to be outside.  She was "Mother Nature."  She loved her family dearly, enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, and was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Bernadine ( nee Manes) Kidd.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, James "Jimmy" William Burton, whom she married on February 8, 1969; two sons:  Troy (Kimberly) Burton of St. Louis, MO and Chad (Tammy) Burton of Troy, IL; four grandchildren:  Adam, Caty, Luke and Jimmy; and her best friend since childhood, Lee Anne Parsons of Murphy, NC.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. following the visitation with Jon Snider officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be received at the funeral home.
