Robert A. Cummins, 74, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

He was born on October 18, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late James and Genevieve (Walogorski) Cummins.

Robert was self-employed in the construction industry for many years. He was known for his strong work ethic and the friendships he built throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Cummins, and a son, Shaun Watts.

He is survived by his two children, Joseph (Linda Roberts) Watts of Caseyville, IL, and Marcy Watts of Collinsville, IL; his grandson, Shaun Watts of Shiloh, IL; and his two brothers, John Cummins of Collinsville, IL, and Leonard Cummins of Collinsville, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Lyle's Tavern in Maryville, IL. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Robert's life. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish to share.
